a few notes-

Walking Concert is led by Walter Schreifels, former frontman and/or songwriter for Gorilla Biscuits, Civ, Quicksand, and Rival Schools. It's nothing like any of those bands.

Tim Barry sings for the punk band Avail, but his solo material is rough country music.

I won't generally put much hardcore on this blog, but a little here and there. MLIW broke up a few months ago, but they were one of my favorite hardcore bands.

Streetlight Manifesto is the last good ska band in America.

Figure the rest out for yourselves. Leave comments, so I know you were here.

Introduction.

Well, I was gonna make my first post, and first mix, all material released in 2008. The year is only half over, but a lot of great music has come out. And I realized it's more music than i've had time to sort through yet. So later today, or possibly tomorrow, I'll put up a grab-bag mix, which will be most of what I post, and later this week, will be one devoted soley to new music.

here are some of the bands that have put out good stuff I like so far this year (or will soon). Feel free to suggest others I may have missed.
